Structured Cabling Installation in Riyadh — From First Fix to Certified Handover
DSIT designs and installs structured cabling for offices, government buildings, hospitals, hotels and villas across Saudi Arabia. We deliver the complete job in three stages — first, second and third fix — with our own teams, so containment, cables and terminations are built to one plan and handed over tested and documented.
What we provide
Design, supply, installation, testing and support from one team.
Copper cabling
Shielded and unshielded Cat6, Cat6A and Cat7 cabling for data, voice, Wi-Fi, CCTV and building systems.
Fiber optic backbone
Single-mode and multimode fiber between floors, buildings and server rooms, spliced and tested.
Cabinets & patch panels
42U cabinets, patch panels, cable managers and colour-coded patch cords, neatly dressed.
Cable containment
Cable trays, EMT conduit, wall chasing, floor boxes and fire stopping for wall penetrations.
Labelling
Every cable, outlet and patch panel port labelled to one consistent scheme, with as-built drawings.
Testing & certification
Every link tested with a certified tester, with a report issued before handover.
Three stages: first, second and third fix
Each stage is completed, inspected and approved before the next one starts.
First fix — cable containment
First fix builds the routes the cables will follow, before the walls are finished and the ceilings closed.
- Wall chasing for outlets, floor boxes and drops
- EMT conduit and metal back boxes inside the chases
- Perforated cable trays on threaded rods and brackets
- Sleeves and fire stopping where routes pass through walls
- Flexible conduit from the trays to each cabinet
Second fix — cable pulling
Second fix pulls every cable through the trays and conduit from the server room to its outlet.
- Cabinets installed and cable reels set up
- Cables pulled through EMT conduit with draw wires
- Cables laid and tied in the trays, separated from power cables
- Service loops left at the cabinet and at every outlet
- Both ends of every cable labelled
Third fix — termination and testing
Third fix completes the terminations, installs the equipment and tests every link before the system is handed over.
- Patch panels, cable managers and switches installed
- Cables terminated to T568B at the panel and the outlet
- Faceplates fitted, labelled and connected to devices
- Every link certified and the test report saved
- As-built drawings and handover documents

Frequently asked questions
What are first, second and third fix in structured cabling?
First fix is the cable containment — wall chasing, conduit, back boxes and cable trays. Second fix is pulling and labelling the cables. Third fix is terminating the cables, installing patch panels and outlets, and testing every link.
Which cable category should I choose, Cat6A or Cat7?
Cat6A supports 10 Gbps up to 100 metres and suits most offices. Shielded Cat7 adds immunity to interference for demanding sites. We recommend the right category after reviewing your building and the systems it will carry.
Do you test and certify the cabling?
Yes. Every permanent link is tested with a certified tester, and you receive the test report together with the as-built drawings.
Do you work outside Riyadh?
Yes. We are based in Riyadh and deliver projects across Saudi Arabia.
